Tucked in among the old trees in the rear yard of a pie-shaped lot in an older neighborhood, a separate studio building provides a peaceful place to be. This building has a 14’x14′ studio space with a screen porch, a full bathroom and a stone terrace.
The studio building is simple in its form and use of materials. The exterior is clad in Hardipanel siding, painted Sherwin Williams’ Jasper. Native stone accentuates the floor of the studio, bathroom and screen porch and extends out to the terrace. The north and south gable windows highlight the wood, tongue-and-groove vaulted ceiling and exposed wood beams.
